I'd rather be at the beach!

 We would much rather be enjoying some fun in the sun! I hope some of you made it to the beach or pool this weekend! To help us escape a little bit, we set up some beachy windows. We are loving the fish and seashells in our vintage treasure chest, and the sandy summer windows showcasing some statement coral necklaces and fun chunky blue necklaces and bracelets accompanied by some sparkly starfish! Our favorite part is the vintage bathing suit and swimcap, generously loaned to us by Wildfell Hall Vintage.  It looks great next to the vintage fish, sailboat, and life saver pins don't you think?

The weird thing about summer

The strangest thing about fashion is how you are always constantly preparing for the next season- long before it hits! Have you ever noticed how by August you can't shop for a bathing suit and in March you won't find gloves available in any stores? It is crazy to think of preparing for fall already (especially in today's NYC 100°!), but everywhere you turn there are "Fall Arrivals"! So, although we just showed you guys some SUMMER arrivals, we will give you small tease of what is to come in the months ahead! As odd as it seems, there is nothing wrong with a little preview action for future outfit planning!
