The heat has given this Kansas girl an excuse to visit her favorite friends and family in the "cooler" states of Michigan, Wisconsin & Minnesota. What a wonderful reason to see the ones I love and catch a little break from the extreme temperatures we have been experiencing.
ReplyDeleteStay Cool!

You know, I am not so much trying to escape the heat but appreciate it after the winter the northeast just had (Bostonian here)! So, I and the family are making the most of the longer days and being able to run out of the house in short sleeves and sandals and hitting the town at a moment's notice! (Sure beats shoveling!) :-)

Staying cool under the fan and absolutely, positively refusing to wear pantyhose.

blasting the [free] AC in my office
ReplyDeleteLiving in Colorado, usually we have really nice summers, although lately it's been hot and surprisingly humid out.
ReplyDeleteIn a week I'll be going up to Steamboat Springs CO with my best friend,to cool off in some hot springs for a few days- well, maybe they'll have some 'cold springs'? But it'll be much cooler in the mountains.
The gold necklace would be nice a present for my bff who I haven't seen in ages since moving out west.

ReplyDeleteI'm a Southern girl, so I know all about oppressive summer heat and humidity.
ReplyDeleteI beat the heat by dipping in the ocean as much as possible, wearing breezy dresses, and freezing fruit like berries and banana slices for a cool treat. An icy cold mojito never hurts, either!

Beating the heat with LOTS of iced coffee, avoiding blow-drying my hair, and blasing the AC in my Mini Cooper! :)
