Runway time!

Hello! Well if you have any interest in fashion, (and we assume you do if you reading a jewelry blog!) then you will know it's fashion time! Here in NYC we have been over run with tall thin beauties all over the city, throwing their willowy selves into cabs and generally looking fabulous...on and off the's a fun week with plenty of great local stores holding special events. Friday night was definitely a good time in our boutique, Cerena, Gena and Anja spent precious time poking toothpicks through cheese and grapes while we cracked open bottles of wine and helped ladies to shop our bargain tables as well as choose current styles with a whopping 20% off! It was a fun night to be sure and we'd like to also thank all the other wonderful stores on Orchard St who helped make the atmosphere that much merrier.

We can't help but be drawn in by all the wonderful stuff happening on the runway, we know it's Spring '11 (hello long winter in between) but still it's nice to dream and see what colors will be around in the future. We just love the colors in this Lela Rose print dress above, and don't you think our fuchsia hoops would look just perfect with it! These hoops are hand-wrapped with gold-filled wire and feature faceted agate rondels, they are $85, please email us with queries:

Don't you just love the simplicity and creamy goodness of this Max Azria dress? So light and breezy, we thought our moonstone studs would look fairly great with it, not too much, just a hint of a jewel! We have not put our studs online yet but we hope to very soon, we also have a turquoise and a few other colors as we know some people do not really like a dangle, to order or inquire about our studs just email Cerena on: and she can help you out, they run for around $60 in the store and are all handmade.....pretty!

This stunning dress from A Detacher would work so well with many of our current pieces, we love the dusky pink tone mixed in with swipes of charcoal black, the colors just work so well together. We would love to pair this dress with our semi precious cluster of hazy labradorite and rhudilated quartz, there's a peach moonstone hidden in there too just for good measure. For queries about these earrings just email us, they are super duper new and not yet online!

Mmmmmm.....I think we won't accessorize this Malandrino outfit....wouldn't want to over do it!

What have your favorite looks been from fashion week? We hope you had a chance to take a peek at a few and highly recommend for late night browsing and drooling....

We will be back later this week with boutique updates (here's some of the new styles in-store above!) and more jewelry news...

  1. I am so loving this post! I have definitely tuned in to fashion week. I have seen a lot of the live stream shows and I am loving it. One of my looks on the runway is from DVF. Love her whole collection. I also liked Vivienne Tam!

Also, love the studs. Will contact Cerena.
