It is that time again! Time to look at the most beautiful turkey we ever saw- 

THE WENDY MINK JEWELRY TURKEY! 

Those czech glass feathers... emerald eyes... garnet wattle (Yes- that is called a wattle! We learn new things here every day...) and that filigree beak! Jewelry turkey aside, we want to thank YOU! Our amazing, loyal customers for helping to support our business! We heard from some of you after Hurricane Sandy, and we are so grateful you kept us in mind. Part of our thankfulness for all of you is to offer a fun small business sale this weekend!

Sale is offered in store and online. The best thing we can do while shopping this holiday season is remember to support small businesses, products made in our home of the U-S OF A, and to just be plain old thankful. And- maybe even do some shopping for yourself!

This time of year everyone starts thinking of gifts for loved ones- but there is no harm in picking out some gifts you would like to receive as well! If you didn't already know, WMJ offers a "wish list", which means you can email us or stop by the store and tell us just which item you really want, and that way when you hint at your hubby that there was something you picked out- we can steer them right to what you want.  No more unwanted fruitcakes! Susan loves these earrings! The baby hematite stones are so sparkly- they are perfect for the holidays!

Last but certainly not least is Wendy's favorite WMJ arrival: the Holiday 2012 Empress necklace done in banded agate! She loves that it was something she designed for the Victorian Albert Museum, and she says she is always so inspired by the Victorian jewelry collection that they have there. As Wendy noted... "I love the marriage of Victorian and Indian design, where I get so much of my inspiration from."

A good excuse for playing dress up...

As we have told you many times before, we are big fans of Halloween around here. But what to wear? Can't think of anything fun and new? Let your jewelry guide you! We put together some halloween costumes that you can easily pull together using a little Wendy Mink Jewelry to achieve the look.

Get some scarves and add some sequins! Tie them around your waist and drape them over your arms to achieve the bellydancer look. Last but not least throw on some dangly jewelry and shake those hips!

Okay, mayyybe catwoman doesn't seem to wear any jewelry. But I bet she has some jewels on under that suit! Add some tiger's eye and banded agate stones to get the feline look.

Who wouldn't want to be Joan from Mad men?! Long tassel necklaces from Wendy's collection would perfectly compliment some of our vintage pieces to get Joan's classic retro 60's look. Small clip on earrings and gold bracelets would look best next to her signature piece: a brooch!

Ah, the mod go-go girl. We sure do wish those funky boots and a-line, patterned dresses were still around these days! Wendy Mink Jewelry for Breast Cancer Awareness month!

It is easy to get caught up with Halloween in October, but October is also a time to put your thoughts and positive energy towards Breast Cancer Awareness and helping to find a cure for something that effects friends, family, loved ones and perhaps even yourself. Wendy put together this beautiful collection of rose quartz and pink tourmaline pieces to wear with pride. 20% of proceeds from this collection will go towards Susan G. Komen for for the cure at the end of the October.

Thriller

If you stopped by the store this weekend, I am certain you noticed our window displays.  Lately at the store you can hear us talking about all things Fall- the weather, the clothing, halloween, halloween candy,  it really is our favorite time of year, and we really love Halloween. A lot. That mixed with our love for a good craft project and the Fall/halloween windows turned into quite a serious DIY project...

Gold spray paint, fake potions, black glitter, and a big mess later- our store windows were underway! With some black and gold mixed metal jewelry from Wendy's holiday line, and some chilling vintage jewelry with spiders pins, scarab pendants, and art deco glass gems, the jewelry fit right into our spooky window theme.
