This Thanksgiving we'd like to give thanks to all our customers who have been very loyal this year and making sure we survive this tough old recession, our boutique and web client base have both grown significantly and we very much appreciate your business. If you are feeling a little more confident there are plenty of great styles to choose from online & in the boutique. As you may already know a large portion of the semi-precious stones used in our collections are hand-cut in India, these stones are high quality & all have interesting properties of their own. When shopping for jewelry it's usually all about color & shape, but what about the stones themselves, they can be very special with a little background knowledge...whether you are a believer in the healing properties of stones or not, it's still such an interesting topic and who knows maybe your necklace is giving you a boost without you even realizing it....here's some of the great things you might expect from the stones used in our current styles. Above is our Birdcage pendant, this cute chain features a semi-precious 'coin' cut Green Onyx, sure the green is pretty but what does this stone do...? Do you have constant worry or anxiety (with this year, probably we would say yes...), do you struggle to maintain positivity? Well this green onyx might just help with that, we also found out that it can help with marital woes, calm sexual tension all while improving your skin, teeth & hair....wow, can we get a whole strand of this? Above we have some shots of Wendy Mink Jewelry in London, as you may remember we participated in a London-Lower East Side swap in October, here is the window of the store we were featured in, a very cute street just off Carnaby street called Newburgh St. Many of the stores on this street were filled with goodies from Lower East Side designers, it all looked great & we were in a store along with our Orchard St neighbors, including; Kaight, Hairy Mary's, Still Life & a few more....thanks to the London girls in the store who were doing a sterling job promoting WMJ to the Brits! Below is a shot of our current collection in the simply gorgeous Liberty of London, what a fabulous department store this is, we are very pleased to be featured among many other esteemed jewelers in their revamped 'jewellery' floor, seems our hammered gold cut-outs are a hit across the Atlantic!

Here we are one-step closer to the Holidays....we don't want to alarm anyone but they are really just around the corner! As you can see above our incredible team of Tibetan jewelers are working up a storm with our wholesale orders for the Holiday period, we wish all our retailers both large & small have a very successful season, we also hope that we can bring you some great inexpensive gifts these Holidays both online & in the boutique. It's always good to check that they haven't been sold before visiting....the necklace above is a stunner, Erin our wholesale queen has been wandering around the studio wearing this piece for a week now & we must say she looks great in it! it is a rough chunky cut bandit agate with lovely marbled surface, hand-beaded & featuring a vintage green glass pendant, beautiful statement piece! The circle earrings below this are cute, square malachite beads with gold vermeil hoops, very sweet wearable earrings if you love a touch of green, these are $105, both styles available through the boutique! 
As we have mentioned in the last week or so, our Cheap Chic group is soon to be changed! This has been one of our most successful groups ever online (& in the store!), excellent pricepoints for quality jewelry pretty much always works! So far we have used fairly summery tones, this season was all about light blue, turquoise, pale pink, white....for this next group we will be mixing it up for the colder temperatures, Wendy is designing a fabulous bunch of new styles in garnet, carnelian, orange cz, black cz, crystal, labradorite, green onyx.....& few more! We think you will love this new Cheap Chic, we will make sure to include classics such as the simple beaded hoops (that everyone seems to really love) plus a bunch of cute, charm necklaces & bracelets, perfect for gifting! Please make sure to purchase the current Cheap Chic while you can, we expect to do a switcheroo very early November. As well as designing this new Cheap Chic group, Wendy is also working on Spring '10, a little scary to be looking so far ahead but looks like fun so far with some great pink, purple, yellow & blue stones floating about the studio! If the magazines are anything to go by it's all bright colors & big, big, BIG next Spring, we like big!
Who doesn't love a ring! these are so new they are not yet in the boutique (but will be shortly!), gorgeous semi precious set rings handmade in India, featuring; lemon quartz, rose quartz & blue topaz....these are very beautiful pastel rings & the organic shape adds a unique quality. An added bonus is that they are sterling with a gold polish so perfect for allergy sufferers, a great quality ring! If you are interested in these rings definitely give Kelly a call to make sure they are in the store, they should be very soon, we would give you the price but they are so hot off the press we do not have one just yet!

First up is a beautiful Victorian Revival pin with added antique gold pin & chain, this can be worn as both, a deep royal blue makes this a very fine choice for Fall-Winter, this piece is quite something. Please note the piece is base-metal & 'Revival' not Victorian, these pieces were made throughout the beginning of the 20th Century & we come across some great pieces like this now & again...length of chain is: 20", pendant across is 3" & length of pendant with tassel is 3.5". GORGEOUSNESS! Rhinestones in pale green, blue, pink & purple with pearls & all set in gold-tone links, a little bit Mad Men & a little bit old Hollywood! Very beautiful bracelet, perfect for a Holiday party or 3! This great piece is 7" & features handy safety chain to avoid mishap....chunky, solid & all in all quite wonderful.....and yours for $250.
Pins! Now that jackets & coats have been hauled out of the closet it's time to liven them up, we know pins are not as popular these days but they really are a great thing to pop on, so much more noticeable than you would expect & can make a seasons old coat look just little bit fresher...here we have some highly collectible Norwegian examples as well as some more costume inexpensive....the butterflies are the highly collectible here, both signed & hail from first half of the 20th century, made with enamel & almost metallic in their finish, very sweet! Both butterflies measure just under 2" across, they are $140 each & are sterling! below this is a fabulous costume snake with an enamel black pattern & rhinestones, he's very cute! Measures 4" & is yours for $50. To the left we have a very detailed Victorian cameo, in a rose gold vermeil finish & measuring a delicate 1" across, you could add a chain also as would make sweet pendant! This is $120. This piece would do well in any fashion spread out now, we are seeing so much of these layered ethnic looks & it is harder to come by pieces such as this with authentic antique finishes & beads! This is a very collectible bib style, features real coral (another near- extinct thing to find!) & handmade antique-y finish filigree in a traditional Indian style, this measures 18" & pendants extend n additional 2", wear it winter or summer....$260.
Two pendants....let's talk about the heart first. This is not signed so we do not believe it is sterling, it is also not a locket but rather a nice solid heavy heart! It features a lovely rusty tone crushed sparkly stone in the center & comes with oxidized 30" chain, heart itself is an inch in length, just $50! The Victorian gold-tone locket is wonderful, opens up to display two sides for pictures! Comes with a lovely sliding feature & very long chain for wrapping around or swinging it long....52" in total length, $250, great for layering & keepsake photos!
Who doesn't love an elephant? Let alone 3 of them! Very cute ethnic necklace with carved resin elephants & beads, light to wear, also features a great filigree detail on the large elephant pendant, we are unsure exactly when & where this fab vintage find comes from but when it's so adorable is it so important! Measures 25" & yours for just $65.
